Q: My RegCode is invalid just after purchase?
A: We have some products now "Quick Hide IP Platinum", "Quick Hide IP" and "Quick Socks". Every product RegCode could be used only for that product. So please double check the software you install and the RegCode match.

Q: How to make Quick-Hide-IP work for FireFox?
A: By default, FireFox is not enabled in Quick-Hide-IP setting.  You could enable it in "Setting" dialog->"Switch Proxy Setting" tab->"FireFox(>3.6)" check box.

If you find the check box is grey, the root cause is that you login Windows as non-administrator, so Quick-Hide-IP doesn't have access right to change FireFox setting. The solution is to change FireFox setting manually:

1.Open "Options" dialog in FireFox

2.Navigate to "Network" tab, and click "Settings..." button.

3.Select "Use system proxy settings" radio, and click "OK".

This is a guide with screenshot about how to use Quick Hide IP for Firefox.

Q: What is the difference between  "Test Speed" and "Test Availability"?
A:
"Test Speed" will generate the accurate proxy's speed in your computer.  "Test Availability" will do a quick test  just for proxy's availability. "Test Availability" is faster but doesn't test speed. The proxy speed is the the default value from Quick-Hide-IP.com, so it is not so accurate for your computer.

Q: How to set "Test URL" and "Expected Return"?
A:
These configurable items are designed for testing proxies. The "Test URL" is the test destination website URL, Quick Hide IP will try to connect it through proxy, and get the returned webpage. And then, Quick Hide IP will analyse the returned webpage to find "Expected Return" string. If "Expected Return" string is found, the proxy is identified as a "good" one, otherwize the proxy will be dropped.

So the "Test URL" is the test website URL, by default, it is http://www.apple.com.

The "Expected Return" is a string in the "Test URL" webpage souce code, the default value is "store". Pls pay attention to this, it is a string in webpage source code instead of webpage itself, and you'd better not use substring of the Test URL as "Expected Return".

How to get a webpage's source code? You could open the webpage in browser, right click the page and select "View page source". And then you could select a string in it as "Expected Return".

Q: What is the "Auto Hide IP Ratio(%)" in setting dialog?
A:
This configurable item is for "Auto Hide IP" mode.  "Auto Hide IP" mode will switch IP every X minutes. The proxies in list will be chosen one by one. Becasue the list is ordered by speed, the bottom proxies may be slow.

So Quickr Hide IP just selects TOP X% proxies to switch, this ratio could be configurable in this item.

Q: Why couldn't I get proxy list when I log in as Windows non-admin user?
A:
We suggest you run Quick Hide IP as Windows Administrator user. If it is a must for you to run as non-admin user, we have 3 tips for this case:

1.Don't install Quick Hide IP in "C:\Program Files"'s sub folders.  It could be installed in C:\Quick Hide IP or some other path.

2.After install the software, don't run it when log in as Windows Administator.

3.If you have run it as Windows Administrator, and then, Maybe you find you could not get proxies as non-admin. The solution for this is: Log in as Administrator, go to the installation folder, remove "proxy.tmp" and "setting.qcf".

Q: What should I do if I could not surf the internet, especially in "Auto Hide IP"mode?
A:
Some Proxies may die unexpectedly. You could either "Get Proxy" from server to replace current proxies, or test current proxies again with  "Test Availability" to remove the dead ones.

Q: Why couldn't I access internet, even when I am not running Quick Hide IP?
A:
If Quick Hide IP closes when shutting down computer, it will have no chance to restore your real IP. So  proxy setting is still enabled after restarting computer. You could either restore your IP by Quick Hide IP("Hide IP" and then "Restore IP"), or retore manually(In Internet Explorer browser's menu bar,Tools->Internet Options->Connections).

Q: Why do I receive a warning message even though my license has not expired?
A:
If your license doesn't expire, the warning may be caused by change of your hardware. You could re-activate software by inputing RegCode again.
